Hello, I'm Ryan Kilgore, raised in Decatur 'Where it's Greater', and the lively city of Atlanta, Georgia. I come from a family tradition of saxophonists, proud to be a 4th generation carrying on the legacy.
My educational journey took me through Southwest DeKalb High School and Clark Atlanta University, where I honed my musical skills. It's where I not only learned the notes but also discovered my passion for the saxophone.
Over the years, my saxophone has taken me on an incredible journey, performing on 6 continents and gracing the stages of over 100 prestigious arenas worldwide. This journey has transformed me into an international saxophonist and philanthropist, and I celebrate over 25 years in the entertainment industry.
In 2015, I founded the Ryan Kilgore Music Foundation with a mission close to my heart - to mentor, teach, and inspire. We're all about bringing awareness to the value of music and music literacy in the lives of young people. Our main initiative involves instrument drives, where we collect donated instruments, give them a little love and repair, and then teach young minds how to make beautiful music. It's a community-driven effort, starting right here in Atlanta, Georgia.
My motto is simple but powerful: Every Person has a Passion, Every Passion has a Purpose, and Every Purpose has a Person.
